Ground you can use again
Mount Holly sits on the Catawba River in eastern Gaston County, just across the river from Charlotte. It is on the edge of the area we cover out of Lincolnton, and we take forestry mulching, lot clearing, stump grinding and grading work there.
The jobs here are a mix. Older wooded lots that have filled in underneath, building lots that need clearing and a pad graded, and yards with stumps left behind by somebody else's tree work. One machine handles all of it, so it can get done on the same visit.
Property close to the river or its lakes can fall under the state's buffer rules along the Catawba, which limit clearing near the water. If your land runs down to the river, check what is allowed before the work is planned. We clear to the line you mark.
Further from the water, the ground is typical Piedmont red clay. Leaving the mulch from the clearing on the surface protects that soil from washing, and a quick rough grade on a pad keeps water moving off it instead of ponding.
Seven services, one machine on site
- Forestry Mulching. One machine in, mulch on the ground, nothing hauled out.
- Land Clearing. Take the tree line back to where you want it.
- Brush & Underbrush Clearing. Open the ground under a canopy you want to keep.
- Grading. Level it, shape it, get the water moving off it.
- Stump Grinding. Below grade, backfilled, done with it.
- Trails & Gravel Driveways. A way in that holds up in February.
- Storm Debris Cleanup. Downed limbs and blown-over trees, gone.
Mount Holly questions
Do you come out to Mount Holly from Lincolnton?
Yes. Mount Holly is on our service area list. Call or text (980) 329-5299 with the address and a short description of what is on the ground.
Can you grind out stumps another company left behind?
Yes. Stumps are ground out below grade rather than left in the middle of new ground. If there is clearing to do as well, it gets done on the same visit.
Can you level the ground after clearing it?
Yes. We rough grade cleared ground so it drains instead of ponding, and so whatever goes there next sits on something flat.
