Ground you can use again
Denver is on the east side of Lincoln County, across the county from our base in Lincolnton. We clear lots, open up wooded yards and grade building pads for owners and builders around Denver and along the west side of Lake Norman.
A lot of the ground here is wooded lots that have filled in underneath. The usual ask is to keep the good trees, lose the brush and small stems, and get the ground back to something you can see through and mow. That is exactly what a mulching head does, in one pass, with the material left on the ground.
If your property runs down to the water, find out what you are allowed to clear before anyone starts. Lake Norman shoreline is covered by Duke Energy's shoreline management rules, and the state has buffer rules along the Catawba River and its main lakes. We clear to the line you mark, so knowing where that line is allowed to be comes first.
Away from the shoreline, Denver is a mix of newer neighborhoods and older wooded parcels. Building lots often need the brush cleared, the stumps ground out and the pad rough graded so water runs off it instead of sitting on it. Doing those on the same visit means the machine comes once.
Seven services, one machine on site
- Forestry Mulching. One machine in, mulch on the ground, nothing hauled out.
- Land Clearing. Take the tree line back to where you want it.
- Brush & Underbrush Clearing. Open the ground under a canopy you want to keep.
- Grading. Level it, shape it, get the water moving off it.
- Stump Grinding. Below grade, backfilled, done with it.
- Trails & Gravel Driveways. A way in that holds up in February.
- Storm Debris Cleanup. Downed limbs and blown-over trees, gone.
Denver questions
Can you clear a wooded lot in Denver for a new build?
Yes. We clear to the line you mark, grind the stumps out and rough grade the pad so it drains. Tell us where the house and drive are going and we will price the finished state you want.
Can you clear right down to the water on Lake Norman?
Only as far as your lot is permitted to clear. Lakefront ground falls under Duke Energy shoreline rules and state buffer rules near the water, so check your line first. We work to the line you give us.
